butterfly with broken wings.

Ah, the finer things in life.

Even a protected ittle butterfly in the zoo could get it's wings all mangled up.
-sigh-

Alright, so I did take this picture in the zoo.
Kinda pathetic, but we do live in cementland Singapore.

Sometimes I wished I live somewhere else.

Somewhere, where "fresh" means "fresh out of the oven", instead of fresh out of the fridge, or of the shelves.

Where "taking lessons" could mean steel drum lessons or tap dance lessons, instead of just piano lessons or origami class.

Where watching the sunset means a panoramic view of nature, instead of seeing the sun go hide behind high rise buildings.

Where that backyard could mean orchard of apple trees, instead of a small patch of grass, where the dog poops.

Where a walk in the park means green grass, water fountains, children laughing, and people lying in the grass, drinking lemonade, instead of the bigger patch of grass, with a steel fitness corner, just two blocks away.

Where the beach has more than 4 metres wide of sand.

Where sand is just sand, instead of sand + dirt + dead leaves and twigs + plastic bags + CRAP.

WELL. AAAAAAll that aside. I still love Singapore.
Really, I do.

Tho we might not have all that I want,
we have safety.
I can go all over the place on my bike at 4 plus in the morning,
and only be SLIGHTLY afraid of banglas or drunk china workers.

I'm thankful for the cleaniness as well.
And the traffic.
And the public transport.
And the level of technology.
And the peace.

Gotta love the peace.
